Experience in buying, production control (costing, bonus and programming), estimating and materials technology departments.

1969 - 1971

General Foreman on various contracts including a supermarket, brewery extension and theatre remodelling.

 

Kier International Limited - UK, on secondment to Caribbean Construction Company Limited - Jamaica

1971 - 1972

Employed by the UK company for secondment to their Jamaican subsidiary. Engaged in supervision of the building work in a bauxite mining expansion project in May Pen, Jamaica.

1972 - 1975

Building Engineer on a J$8,000,000 National Bank project in Kingston, Jamaica. For the final eight months of the project, I assumed the responsibilities of Site Agent.

1975 - 1979

Site Agent on J$9,000,000 Postal and Telegraph Headquarters and Central Sorting Office for the same company in Kingston, Jamaica.

 

Kier International Limited - UK, on secondment to Kier Trinidad Limited – Trinidad and Tobago

1979 - 1980

On secondment to the Trinidad and Tobago subsidiary of the same UK Company. Site Agent on a TT$5,000,000 Chemical and High Voltage Laboratory project for the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, Trinidad.

1980 - 1981

Project Manager on a TT$21,000,000 housing development of 204 apartments at Couva, Trinidad.

Project Manager, primarily in control of TT$17,000,000 "Design/Build" school project in Gasparillo, Trinidad.

Construction Manager responsible for the management of the Construction Department. Duties included the direct management of all aspects of "traditional" and "Design/Build" projects (with values up to J$185,000,000), preparation of tenders for future projects and the general management of the department and the preparation and negotiation of claims. Projects carried out included the construction of a new Canadian High Commission Building, a building for the Caribbean School of Architecture (funded by the European Union), work on the Old Harbour Bypass Project and school construction under various internationally funded programmes. Established a company web site and Internet based control for international projects. Reporting to the Board of Directors.

2002 - 2003

Project Manager on the US$6,000,000.00 Design/Build, Fast Track, Indoor Court Facility project at Independence Park, Kingston, Jamaica for The Urban Development Corporation.

 

Y.P. Seaton and Associates Co. Ltd. – Jamaica

2004 - 2006

Project Manager on the J$300,000,000.00 Kingsway Townhouse development project in, Kingston, Jamaica.

 

The Mustique Company Ltd. – Mustique, St. Vincent and the Grenadines

2006 -

Construction Project Manager, managing the operations of Mustique Building Contractors Ltd., carrying out all construction work for The Mustique Company Ltd., and work for villa owners.
