Start by double clicking on the My Computer icon on your desktop
Double click on the Dial-Up Networking
Double click Make New Connection.
Type InfoChannel in The name for the computer you are dialling box. Make sure your modem is listed as the device to connect with. Now click Next.
Leave Area Code box blank
In the Telephone Number box type 980 7000 if in Kingston & St. Andrew, then click Next.
(Please see “Islandwide Access” on the Customer Care webpage for your local dial-up access number.)
In the Country Code box select Jamaica (1) from the list.
Click Finish. The new InfoChannel dial-up icon will appear in the Dialup Networking window.
Right click the newly created InfoChannel icon and select Properties.
From the General tab remove the tick from the option “Use area code and dialling properties”.
Click on the Server Types and ensure that only “Enable Software compression” and “TCP/IP Protocol” are selected.
  Create Shortcut to InfoChannel Icon:
Right click on the InfoChannel icon in the Dial-Up Networking window
Click Create Shortcut
Click Yes when prompted to create a shortcut on the desktop.
Close the dialog box.
Close My Computer window.
The new InfoChannel icon will appear on your Desktop.
Doubleclick on the InfoChannel icon on your desktop.
Click Dial to connect to the Internet.
