E-mail:
We recommend that you use our
Web Mail service while you are traveling.
What are the benefits?
- Gain access to all Internet services such
as e-mail and the World-Wide Web.
- Receive only one bill for all Internet
and iPass charges.
- Get better quality Internet connections
with local calls.
- Dial into a local number wherever you
are in the world. There is a local access number in almost every
country.
How does it work?
iPass forms relationships with Internet Service Providers around the world
that have the highest quality Internet access networks and that provide
access in far reaching locations. iPass provides software to InfoChannel
that enables these Internet access networks to be available to you.
This software facilitates a high level of security for your Internet
transactions.
When you travel outside of our regular service
area, you can dial into any of the worldwide iPass access points using your iPass connection software. You will
log in with your regular InfoChannel user Login ID and
Password. Your authentication request will be encrypted and sent over
the Internet to your home provider's authentication server. The server
will check your information and send an authorization response (or
denial, if appropriate) back to the ISP you are dialing into so that
you can gain access to the Internet. This process takes about five
to ten seconds. iPass tracks the time you are connected
to enable your ISP to accurately bill you for the services used.
